Spectre film music3/13/2023 ![]() ![]() Its long-term strategy, however, is illustrated by the analogy of the three Siamese fighting fish Blofeld keeps in an aquarium in the film version of From Russia with Love. SPECTRE's goals in the other films it has appeared in have always been less lofty. The goal of world domination was only ever stated in You Only Live Twice, and SPECTRE was working not for itself but for an unnamed Asian government whose two representatives Blofeld speaks to during the movie perhaps Red China, who earlier backed Goldfinger. In the classic James Bond films produced by EON Productions, the organisation had a more active role, often as a third party in the ongoing Cold War. At the time of writing the novel (c.1959), Fleming believed that the Cold War might end during the two years it would take to produce a film adaptation, which would leave it looking dated he, therefore, thought it better to create a politically neutral enemy for Bond. The remaining three members are Blofeld himself as leader, a physicist and an electronics expert, added for their expertise on specialist matters. Their top-level members were 21 individuals, 18 of whom handled day-to-day affairs and were drawn in groups of three from six of the world's greatest criminal organisations-the Gestapo, SMERSH, Marshal Josip Broz Tito's secret police, the Mafia, the Unione Corse, and a massive heroin-smuggling operation based in Turkey, as well as a now-defunct intelligence network run by Blofeld. In Ian Fleming's novels, SPECTRE was primarily a commercial enterprise led by Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Originally conceived of as a small group of professional criminals in the novels, SPECTRE became a vast international organisation with its own elaborate facilities and operations in the film series.Ĭomparison of Fiona Volpe's octopus insignia ring from Thunderball (1965), with Marco Sciarra's one from Spectre (2015). SPECTRE is not aligned to any nation or political ideology, enabling the later Bond books and Bond films to be regarded as apolitical. When introduced in 1961, the organisation effectively replaced SMERSH as Bond's primary antagonist. After a four-decade absence from the film series made by EON Productions, the organisation was reintroduced in the twenty-fourth Bond film, Spectre (2015) and reappeared in the twenty-fifth, No Time to Die (2021). Led by 007's nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the organisation first formally appeared in the novel Thunderball (1961) and subsequently in the movie Dr. SPECTRE (an acronym of Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion), stylised simply as Spectre in its 2015 film reboot, was a fictional global criminal and terrorist organisation featured in the James Bond novels by Ian Fleming and their EON Productions and non-EON film Never Say Never Again. Since it’s a fashionable device, HP will also be releasing limited editions of the Spectre 13.3, coming in 18-karat gold and Swarovski crystals for the big spenders." SPECTRE is a dedicated fraternity whose strength lies in the absolute integrity of its members." ― Ernst Stavro Blofeld Overall it’s impressive yet attractive, and such coincidences don’t occur a lot with laptops. ![]() ![]() On top of that, the Spectre 13.3 boasts a battery life of 9.5 hours. It also comes with three USB-Type C ports, further drowning the 12-inch Macbook. The Spectre 13.3 comes with two choices of Intel’s Skylake Core i5 or i7 processors, with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of PCIe SSD storage. You might think that this laptop with a fashion sense will be having a mere Intel Core M processor underneath, but that’s where HP surprises again. HP seems to be going head-to-head with Apple on this one, with the HP Spectre 13.3 sporting a glass trackpad and a back-lit keyboard, but where it triumphs the Macbook is with its horsepower. It further impresses with a piston hinge design, making it seem hingeless from the outside. ![]() The HP Spectre 13.3 weighs in at 2.45 pounds, which is heavier than the 12-inch Macbook, but the 13.3-inch Gorilla Glass screen with 1080p IPS display coupled with the build combination of metal and carbon fiber certainly makes up for the so called “slightly heavy” weight of the laptop. That makes the Spectre the slimmest laptop made so far, edging Apple’s 12-inch Macbook by 2.7mm. As flashy as it may seem, the laptop is only 10.4mm thin, or thick, whichever way you’re looking at it. With a touch of luxury and class to it, the HP Spectre 13.3’s design is based on artisan inspiration, alongside women’s purses and jewelry. HP looks to focus on design and looks yet again, without compromising the internals of this beautiful notebook – the HP Spectre 13.3. ![]()
